Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is hiring a Psychiatric RN for a Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and at least 1 year of psych experience.

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• CPI/HWC certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required, with psych experience preferred
• ADN with active RN license required
• Must be able to pass a background check

• Behavioral Health inpatient unit in a hospital setting with 106 beds
• Adult patient population including level 1, voluntary, and detox admissions
• Patient ratio of 1:14
• Uses equipment including code cart, Pyxis, EKG, vitals machine, and glucometer
• Documents in Wellsky EHR
• 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirements
• Able to float from patient floor to admissions department
• Provide direct patient care within a fast-paced behavioral health unit
• Strong de-escalation skills and teamwork required
• Scrub color must be royal blue or darker blue
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
