Position Summary
The Director of Quality is a strategic, forward-thinking leader responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s long-term quality vision. This role oversees all quality functions across the business and drives a proactive, prevention-focused culture rooted in “quality at the source.” The Director will develop and evolve the Quality Management System, implement best-practice processes, and lead enterprise-wide initiatives that enhance product quality, reduce cost of quality, and strengthen operational performance.
With a strong ability to anticipate future challenges and identify opportunities, this leader partners closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to implement sustainable improvements, champion cross-functional collaboration, and ensure full compliance with industry standards. The Director of Quality also plays a critical role in mentoring teams, building organizational capability, and fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Functions of the Job
- Create and implement a best-practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures that strengthen business performance and support a forward-looking, long-term quality roadmap.
- Lead and manage the quality function from new product conception through warranty analysis, ensuring a proactive culture rooted in quality at the source so that issues are prevented rather than detected downstream.
- Establish and continuously improve a Supplier Quality function aimed at installing quality at the source, improving supplier quality to achieve
