Role OverviewThe Manager, Inspection will lead a team of intermediate to experienced Quality Inspection professionals, setting objectives and guiding others on the execution of inspection tasks to ensure adherence to established department, organization, and customer specification parameters. The role involves leading the development of inspection plans, managing the maintenance of inspection logs, and preparing inspection reports, technical reports and presentations.

What you’ll do on a typical day:- Direct activities and manage experienced Quality Inspection professionals in the execution of inspection tasks to ensure adherence to established department, organization and customer specification parameters.
- Lead the development of inspection plans and manage inspector workloads to ensure effective use of resources.
- Maintain inspection logs and prepare inspection reports, technical reports and presentations to document results so that performance problems can be identified and resolved.
- Determine appropriate methods and sequences to perform inspections to ensure the process is efficient and effective.
- Deliver feedback on quality issues from inspection fields and monitor corrective action and results to ensure continuous improvement and quality achievement.
- Coach inspection specialists and technicians to ensure that the skills and performance of employees meet the organization's needs.
- Use predetermined methods, operations, setups, and prescribed specifications to inspect arriving, in-process and completed products for conformance to engineering requirements.
- Use a variety of measuring devices, testing equipment and statistical control processes.
- Perform in-process, final bench, and product feature inspections.
- Inspect actual products on the floor and on-line.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FIA) and conformity inspections.
- Raise notifications of non-conformance, quarantine non-conforming product and, when approved to do so, provide disposition.
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR 9 years of relevant experience is required.
- Work to AS / ISO standards.
- Manage the maintenance of equipment including calibration, inspection, cleaning, repairing, software/hardware updates, vendor engagement, etc.
- Identify and recommend creative ways to enhance existing test practices.
- To meet government and federal law program requirements which requires U.S. citizen status.
It’d be great if you also have:
- Prior Supervisory experience preferred.
- FAA, QMS-Audit (AS9100), PPAP experience preferred.
- Customer facing experience preferred.
- Experience with SAP preferred.
