Job Description QUALITY ENGINEER POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Engineer will ensure overall quality of manufactured products and compliance with certifications.

QUALITY ENGINEER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Set detailed guidelines for quality checks and define quality standards.
  • Update the Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, fixes, and improvements
  • Audit systems based on ISO 9001:2015 requirements
  • Determine quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures
  • Monitor the entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential malfunctions as early as possible
  • Inspect product materials and electrical systems for defects and durability
  • Identify the root of technical issues and recommended fixes
  • Prepare reports on malfunctions and corrective actions (defect rates)
  • Review current blueprints and quality documentation
  • Set and track quality assurance goals
  • Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors and technicians to ensure compliance with legal and certification requirements
  • Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the product
  • Schedule all testing required for product certifications to codes and standards
  • Schedule audits and payments for renewal of all codes and standards

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or sciences.
  • Minimum of two years related experience.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience interpreting product design, layouts and basic drafting room practices. Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar systems.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.

  • Solid understanding of engineering principles
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD 2015 or higher
  • Proficient use of Adobe Acrobat Pro

  • Good organizational skills required
  • Proficient in MS Office Products
  • Proficient use of databases
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical or governmental procedures.
