Overview

The Quality Inspector I inspects parts to appropriate visual and dimensional customer specifications; shares responsibility for final quality to the customer; runs reports and understands the work cell priorities; works closely with production; and must be dedicated to on-time results and committed to having no customer returns. This role is based at our facility in Tucson, AZ.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm. Schedule will be adjusted for training purposes.
- Conduct dimensional inspections using a variety of measuring and data recording equipment, including micrometers, profilometer, and metallographic camera.
- Read and understand part prints and tolerances; apply correct customer specifications or exceptions using sales orders.
- Prepare reports and calculate and record statistical data to reflect the quality status of products.
- Operate and calibrate various mechanical, electronic, optical, and nondestructive test instruments.
- Share responsibility for final quality with the customer and work closely with production to ensure on-time delivery with no customer returns.
- Use SAP or similar ERP systems; proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Maintain knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and apply it to inspections.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality-related discipline.
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology (as required by ITAR and EAR).The candidate must meet the licensing and eligibility requirements described by U.S. regulations.
- Experience using SAP or similar ERP is a plus.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
