Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Supplier Quality

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of manufacturing supplier quality engineers across multiple sites to address supplied material issues impacting factories.
• Staff, coach, mentor, present to senior leadership, and conduct performance reviews.
• Serve as the onsite interface for supplier assurance to Raytheon factories, supporting factory tier meetings, layered process assessments, and nonconforming material reviews.
• Guide and support RTX Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) projects.
• Establish baseline MSQE metrics (e.g., supplier escapes, scrapped material, rework), identify key drivers, forecast demand, and highlight improvement opportunities.
• Partner with manufacturing teams to align priorities using baseline data and forecasts, driving containment, root‑cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Identify supplier escapes or issues and ensure proper containment, feedback to the Supplier Quality Management team.
• Verify and validate that implemented improvements are effective.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or another technical field plus at least 10 years of relevant engineering experience (or 7 years with an advanced degree).
• Experience in quality, manufacturing (assembly, inspection, test), or supplier performance management.
• Experience applying and adhering to Commercial and Aerospace/Defense regulations and standards such as ISO
  9001, AS9100, AS9102, and AS9145.
• Previous involvement in cross‑functional process‑improvement teams.
• Experience in team or project management/leadership.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (interim clearance required prior to start).
• U.S. citizenship required.

• Strong familiarity with ISO
  9001, AS9100, AS9201, Six Sigma, CORE, or Lean tools, and ASQ certifications.
• Experience interpreting industry technical standards, drawings, work instructions, BOMs, consumable material control, process disciplines, and tool control.
• Proven success managing professionals with engineering backgrounds, building and leading high‑performing teams.
• Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence stakeholders.
• Experience communicating complex engineering issues to all organizational levels.
• Experience leading Systemic Root Cause Analysis and corrective action activities.
• Experience with SAP/PRISM or other ERP tools.

U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The role requires an active, transferable DoD Security Clearance (Secret level) and the ability to obtain an interim clearance before the start date.

Salary range: $132,400 – $251,600 USD.
