The Test Manufacturing Associate Engineer repairs and improves manual and automated test equipment and supports programs that are used for product testing and design verification.
Hourly rate + Shift Premium, Eligible for OT and Eligible for quarterly bonuses.
Detailed Description- Under supervision and with assistance develop, qualify, and install test applications into manufacturing operations.
- Optimize the Test process focusing on productivity improvements to cycle time and yield.
- Debug solutions provided by external vendors or customers based on training supplied.
- Assist with test optimization based on feedback from customers and operations partners based on a solid unstinting of the test coverage, diagnosability, reparability, firmware/diagnostics and user experience.
- Maintain with minimal supervision the continuing performance of the Testers and participate in the OEE improvement plans, yield and test time optimization.
- Required to be onsite.
- Strong knowledge of Linux preferred.
- Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Strong knowledge of electrical circuits.
- Knowledge of test equipment (i.e. oscilloscopes, soldering irons, multimeters, logic analyzers, function generator, ICT, flying probe).
- Required knowledge of electrical test equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight deadlines.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
- 5-8 years' experience in testing equipment.
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
Physical Demands- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
