Position Highlights The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy seeks a Postdoctoral Research Associate for the lab of Dr. Kevin Rhine. The research focus of this position will be how RNA biology changes as a function of neuronal aging, with special emphasis on risk factors for neurodegenerative diseases.

Duties & Responsibilities- Design, conduct, and perform research experiments.
- Write manuscripts and progress reports.
- Prepare postdoctoral fellowship applications and contribute to other grant submissions.
- Serve as a day‑to‑day mentor for undergraduate and/or graduate students.
- Present research at internal lab meetings, local symposia, and national conferences.
- Extensive knowledge of RNA-binding proteins, especially double‑stranded RNA‑binding proteins.
- Strong foundational skills in computational analysis of RNA‑seq and CLIP‑seq data.
- Working knowledge of immunofluorescence and immunoprecipitation assays.
- Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Neurosciences, Biochemistry, or related field. Dissertation must have focused on RNA editing, including the use of long‑read sequencing and CLIP‑seq technologies.
