Research Associate Position in Experimental Particle Physics with the University of Arizona

The University of Arizona Physics department invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to pursue research related to Experimental Particle Physics. The candidate will help lead one of the UA Run 3 data analysis efforts at the ATLAS experiment at the CERN Large Hadron Collider. The candidate may also contribute to our HL-LHC ATLAS upgrade efforts. This is a one‑year position, renewable for additional years contingent on successful completion of responsibilities and availability of funding.

The primary responsibility for this position is to assume a leading role in the UA physics program pursuing exotic physics on ATLAS. Successful candidates will have a strong record in physics data analysis. Additional responsibilities may include roles in ongoing HL‑LHC upgrade activities at UA and/or developing a small program to contribute to ATLAS performance or operations activities. Research associates are expected to develop and implement research initiatives, collaborations, publications, and conference talks as needed and relevant to research agendas.

Successful candidates will have a strong record in physics data analysis.
