E. Lowell St., Tucson, AZ 85721 USA Position Highlights The University of Arizona's Reproductive Toxicology Laboratory led by Dr. Zelieann R. Craig in the School of Animal & Comparative Biomedical Sciences is seeking an inquisitive, well-organized, and highly motivated individual for the position of Research Technician I. The successful candidate will work independently using a variety of established protocols including molecular biology and physiological techniques to examine the effects of environmental chemicals on female reproductive system function.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Prepare for and perform predetermined experiments under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (or their delegate) to meet the needs of the research project.

* Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and analysis of results.

* Perform administrative and maintenance duties such as bookkeeping, ordering supplies, preparation of solutions, and waste disposal.

* Report experiment progress to principal investigator.

* Complete data sharing tasks and other activities for the dissemination of results under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (or their delegate).

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

* Knowledge: biological and chemical safety; animal care and use, basic female reproductive physiology.

* Skills:

cell or tissue culture protocols, viability and hormone assays, image acquisition and analysis, animal handling, and data processing, visualization, and statistical analysis.

* Abilities: work independently and with others at different career levels, communicate effectively orally and in writing, high degree of accountability, determination and curiosity.

Minimum Qualifications

* High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular cellular biology, and/or other area related to the area of assignment.
