The Department of Emergency Medicine, Division of EMS seeks a Biostatistician II to analyze and interpret complex research data for clinical and scientific projects. The role involves advanced statistical software and methods, machine learning model evaluation, and ensuring adherence to the highest clinical research standards.
Responsibilities- Use advanced statistical methods and software to analyze large datasets, identifying key patterns, trends, and insights.
- Provide actionable insights and interpretations of research data for clinical studies and scientific projects.
- Ensure that all data analysis meets the highest standards of clinical research, including data integrity, validity, and reproducibility.
- Build and maintain data sets used for data entry and project reports.
- Collaborate with clinical research teams to maintain rigorous standards for data management.
- Evaluate model performance, adjusting parameters to enhance accuracy and predictive capabilities.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams to interpret data findings and provide statistical guidance.
- Present analysis results to stakeholders through clear, concise reports and presentations.
- Write the methods and results sections of scientific manuscripts for publication.
- Effective communication with diverse groups and individuals in a team environment.
- Handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Computer proficiency.
- Proficiency with at least one statistical software package (R, SAS, SPSS, or STATA).
- Excellent problem‑solving, organization, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet project deadlines.
- Master's Degree required.
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience required.

CompensationSalary: $65,687 - $85,393 per year (Full‑time, 1.0 FTE). Compensation is based on role responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and internal equity; career growth opportunities are available and described in the University’s Compensation Guides.
