Position Summary
Research Program Administration Officer III – Psychology (Part‑Time) will lead the strategic implementation of the SEMA Lab ecosystem. Responsibilities include securing funding, managing outreach programs, building internal and external collaborations, and directing lab operations under the Lab Director and Principal Investigator.
Responsibilities- Assist in developing funding opportunities and outreach programs for the university and community.
- Identify and develop grant opportunities from federal, state, and foundation sources.
- Support the creation of crowdfunding initiatives and solicit external donors to build a robust research team.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal UA partners related to grants, proposals, and pre‑award activities.
- Assist in creating and deploying lab Objective and Key Results (OKRs) alongside staff.
- Translate broader objectives of the SEMA Lab into tangible milestones.
- Develop goals, establish metrics to measure progress, engage staff in the process, and track and evaluate outcomes.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and supervision to staff, including graduate and undergraduate students.
- Assist the PI in supporting day‑to‑day lab operations, including developing onboarding documents, procedural documents, and IRB applications.
- Support research activities, such as training staff and undergraduate researchers, running projects, and aiding data analysis and write‑up.
- Contribute to the growth of the lab by developing philanthropic initiatives and advancing grant efforts.
- Knowledge of research administration processes, grant development, funding mechanisms, and pre‑award activities.
- Knowledge of project management frameworks, including Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Skill in project management, including planning, organizing, and tracking multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Skill in written and verbal communication, including drafting reports, proposals, and research documentation.
- Skill in developing and implementing performance metrics and evaluating outcomes.
- Ability to analyze data and support research dissemination (e.g., manuscripts, reports).
- Ability to translate strategic research goals into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience with research administration processes, including grant development, funding mechanisms, and pre‑award activities.
- Experience with project management frameworks, such as Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
- Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, organizing, and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience drafting reports, proposals, and research documentation.
- Experience developing and implementing performance metrics and evaluating outcomes.
- Experience translating strategic research goals into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.
