As a Research Technician II, you will play an integral role in supporting innovative laboratory research through a variety of hands-on molecular biology, animal research, and cell culture techniques. This position offers the opportunity to develop and refine technical expertise while contributing to meaningful scientific studies in a dynamic academic research environment.
In this role, you will perform essential laboratory procedures including mouse genotyping, collection and processing of animal tissues and biological samples, Western blotting and other molecular assays, maintenance of mammalian cell lines, and behavioral testing of mice. Working alongside faculty, researchers, and trainees, you will help ensure the successful execution of research projects while gaining valuable experience with cutting-edge laboratory methods and contributing to the advancement of biomedical research.

Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct mouse genotyping, tissue collection and processing.
- Perform Western blotting and related molecular assays.
- Maintain established mammalian cell lines.
- Assist with behavioral testing of mice and record results.
- Knowledge of basic molecular biology techniques, including PCR and Western blotting, mouse genotyping, tissue collection, and behavioral testing.
- Ability to accurately follow laboratory protocols and maintain detailed records.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a research team.

Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
