The Department of Immunobiology invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position to be mentored by Dr. Silverman. The role focuses on evolutionary guided research into the molecular mechanisms of T-cell activation and cell fate decisions. The department aims to blend fundamental immunology with translational relevance and to maintain a leading position in biomedical research and education.
Duties & Responsibilities- Conduct independent experiments and computational analyses, evaluate the data, and maintain appropriate records of all research activities.
- Read the literature, participate in scientific discussions with laboratory members, and attend mandatory lab meetings.
- Perform assigned lab duties to assist in the maintenance of stock reagents and the general operation of the lab, and undertake various other duties or projects as assigned.
- PhD in biochemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, immunology, virology, or related fields.
- Experience with modern molecular biology, biochemistry, and tissue culture techniques.
- Basic immunology concepts.
- Prior experience with live cell fluorescent imaging is helpful.
- Proficiency in Python, R, and/or command line applications is encouraged.
