Research Associate III - Onsite

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Research Associate III for an Onsite position with a Global Biotechnology Company located in Tucson, AZ. This is a 24-month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for facilitating the transition of products from Development to Manufacturing as a member of the Assay Transfer team. The ideal candidate will initiate, direct, and execute process characterizations, scientific research, and manufacturing process strategies to support new and existing reagent products.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, execution, and troubleshooting of complex laboratory protocols and bench experiments with minimal supervision
• Investigate the feasibility of applying scientific principles to potential inventions, products, and problems to ensure manufacturability
• Plan and execute laboratory research as it pertains to process characterizations, scale up, and improving process capability
• Prepare manufacturing documents and complete transfer activities for new products
• Maintain meticulous records, analyze quantitative data, and generate comprehensive technical reports
• Partner actively across organizational boundaries and participate in cross-functional technical teams
• Contribute creatively to project planning and help implement laboratory improvements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Science with 4-6 years of post-college experience
• Experience with wet lab and biological techniques
• Previous experience in a regulated environment, product development, and/or manufacturing operations is ideal
• Knowledge of a wide range of experimental techniques and skilled in their applications
• Capable of searching scientific literature to gain general and specific information
• Skilled with use of word processing, spreadsheets, graphical and presentation software applications

Pay range:
Up to $34.00 per hour
