Position Highlights
- The UACC is seeking to hire two Research Technician II positions that will be a part of the cancer research training program called the "Center for Innovation in Cancer Research Training (CICRT) Post-Baccalaureate Fellows Program." Funding for the program comes from the American Cancer Society. Successful applicants will spend two years in the program, conducting and supporting cancer-related laboratory or field research under the guidance of the faculty member who is leading the research.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Carries out research projects following established protocols in order to meet the goals of a research group, maintaining logs and records of experimental data. Analyzes data and interprets research results; writes research progress reports documenting the experimental plan, data and interpretations, to communicate the findings to the team leader(s) and any collaborators. Involved and familiar with research studies being conducted, the applicable background, research protocols and procedures.
As appropriate for the research project, uses and maintains scientific equipment needed to carry out the research tasks. Conducts library and computer searches for research; modifies established protocols to meet the needs of the project and improve tests that are unsatisfactory.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience required. High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.

- Bachelor's degree in a science field.
