Vision Center Manager L2

Position Summary

Drive sales and operations in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, and optimal inventory levels. Lead Associate teams in delivering customer‑member service, handling complaints, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance. Serve as a role model for Walmart values, fostering a culture of belonging, integrity and continuous improvement.

• Develop and execute merchandising plans to meet monthly sales targets and community needs.
• Supervise, train, and mentor vision center associates, including hiring, performance reviews, recognition and fostering an inclusive workplace.
• Ensure accurate pricing, proper signage, and inventory control; conduct forecasting and budgeting activities.
• Provide exceptional customer service, resolving complaints within company guidelines and maintaining confidentiality of member information.
• Oversee eyewear quality, consult with members on product selection, obtain measurements, verify prescriptions and perform minor frame repairs.
• Implement asset protection, safety controls and quality assurance reviews; develop action plans to improve performance.
• Coordinate community outreach programs and encourage associate participation as community representatives.
• Maintain compliance with company, legal policies, and regulations, including Open Door Policy procedures.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and support business initiatives to meet customer and business goals.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of 2+ years of college, or 1 year retail experience combined with 1 year supervisory experience, or 2 years general work experience with 1 year optical experience.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws.

• Experience supervising associates within an optical or vision center setting.
• Knowledge of optical product inventory management and customer service best practices.

• Hourly wage range: $27.50 – $37.50 (actual rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the location).
