PAY: $15.45 up to $18.00 per hour (DOEE)

An 05 Market grocery Stocker is a professional who assists customers with their shopping needs by stocking shelves, organizing products, operating the cash register, handling transactions, and providing excellent customer service, ensuring the store is clean and well-maintained while maintaining product knowledge and readily answering customer inquiries about item locations. It's generally a physically active job because it entails regular building and loading and unloading furniture into customers’ vehicles.

The primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Able to lift, load, offload, pick and place items and move loads of 50+ lbs.
• Lift furniture and move materials in and out of storage accurately and without damage. Should be able to drive a forklift, a box truck driver is a plus
• Must be able to last through physically demanding shifts.
• Sort and stock products on shelves to be certain the Market is moving food efficiently and timely and to keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products.
• Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently.
• Manage inventory control (shoplifting) and reporting as required.
• Assist with the preparation of store displays and ensure products are accurately labeled.
• Notify the store manager of out-of-stock product and store supplies.

• Capable of enduring prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Ability to stand, crawl, crouch, and climb to perform repairs, use ladders, and perform various types of manual labor.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds often.
• Vision (with correction) sufficient for reading and performing tasks.

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Successfully pass FBI fingerprint clearance check and procure a Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Successful clearance of criminal background check(s) and Central Registry in Arizona
• Successful reference checks.
• Successful physical examination (fit for duty), and verification of legal ability to work in the United States.
• Successfully pass pre-employment and random drug screenings. This is a safety-sensitive position and GAP Ministries is an alcohol and drug-free (including marijuana) workplace and requires random drug screening to all employees to ensure enforcement of this policy.
• If driving a personal or company vehicle for work, must have a valid driver license in effect for at least 5 years, meet the insurability and driving requirements of GAP Ministries and provide a 60‑month safe driving record (MVR) from Motor Vehicle Division.
