This is a full-time, on-site role located in Tucson, AZ, for a Technical Sales Representative. The individual in this role will be responsible for identifying potential clients, presenting NP Photonics' products, and growing customer relationships. Responsibilities involve managing the sales process, providing technical support to clients, coordinating customer training, and addressing inquiries. The role also requires working closely with the internal team to align customer needs with product solutions.

- Develop a deep understanding of the technical features and benefits of the products or services being offered.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and technological advancements.
- Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop effective sales strategies that align with company goals.
- Identify target markets and potential clients, and tailor sales approaches accordingly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing solutions.
- Prospect and acquire new customers by showcasing the technical advantages of the products or services.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase the functionality and value of the offerings.
- Customize presentations based on the specific needs and interests of potential clients.
- Engage in price negotiations, contract discussions, and other aspects of the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction and company profitability.
- Work closely with the sales team to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities and threats in the industry.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer needs and market trends.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline data.
- Generate reports and analyses to track sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Act as a liaison between the customer and technical support teams, ensuring timely resolution of any technical issues.
- Provide ongoing support and assistance to customers throughout the sales process and beyond.
- Depending on the nature of the products or services, be willing to travel to meet with clients, attend conferences, and participate in industry events.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in technical sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong technical aptitude and the ability to grasp complex technical concepts quickly.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools and other sales-related software.
- Willingness to travel as required.
