Outside Wholesale Parts Sales Representative

Position Summary

Responsible for representing the Jim Click and Holmes Tuttle Automotive Parts Department by promoting our entire line of products and services to current and potential wholesale customers with a positive attitude, while maintaining and growing current relationships.

• Works with Parts Managers to develop sales plans and achieve personal sales and profit quotas.
• Call/visit with existing wholesale customers to maintain and grow current relationships.
• May be required to step in as a delivery driver on occasion, as well as assist inside the parts department when necessary.
• Implement the OEM’s business plan and roll-out, including marketing, communications, logistics, pricing and strategies, etc. which will support the dealer’s efforts to build and significantly increase the wholesale business.
• Enroll customers in OEM loyalty websites and monitor performance.
• Report sales calls to Management with specific names and feedback weekly.
• Driving on a regular basis throughout the city as well as surrounding areas.
• Obeys all state, federal and Department of Motor Vehicles laws and regulations.

• Valid driver's license.
• High school or GED equivalent preferred.
• Math and English reading skills sufficient to perform job duties (approximately at 10th grade general education level).
• Must have at least two years’ experience in automotive parts sales.
• Must have a strong knowledge of automobiles and their systems.
• Excellent customer/vendor relationship skills.
• Must have problem solving and diplomatic skills.
• Must be able to resolve issues that could arise.
• Strong team communication skills yet capable of working independently.
• Ability to perform in a quota-driven, fast paced environment and be results driven.
• Ability to coordinate tasks with other employees.
• Works well with the public, communicate in a professional manner on the phone, internet and in person.
• Regular, timely and daily attendance as scheduled.
• Ability to maintain good employee relations by acting courteously and amicably towards other co-workers.

• Pass observed and SAMHSA certified drug screen.
• Present documents to certify eligibility to work.
• Have work history verified as accurate.
