Job Overview

Account Development Representatives initiate and manage relationships with customers and serve as the point of contact for the Company. They coordinate selling efforts to grow new and incremental sales with the target account list through face‑to‑face calls, phone calls, and targeted selling events. The role includes identifying target accounts, partnering with Sales Representatives to deepen relationships, and prospecting to add new accounts to the target list while logging all contacts.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate selling efforts to grow new and incremental sales with the Target Account list.
  • In‑Sight! Phone contacts.
  • Organize and execute targeted selling events.
  • Develop a strategy to grow sales and profits to key, opportunity, new and existing customers.
  • Effectively build relationships with customers by understanding and supporting their business.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to support solutions for the customer.
  • Develop working relationships with stores to achieve business goals.
  • Generate leads.
  • Help determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports as required.
  • Give sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing programs.
  • Understand and promote company programs.
  • Prepare and submit sales contracts for orders.
  • Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
  • Maintain client records.
  • Answer client questions about terms, products, prices, and availability.
Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for a work visa.
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • High school diploma or comparable certification (e.g., GED).
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience working in a retail, sales, or customer service position.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one (1) year of work experience as an Assistant Store or Branch Operations Manager for Sherwin‑Williams.
  • Previous experience conducting outside sales calls.
  • Associate’s degree in business, sales, or marketing.
  • Experience selling paint and paint‑related products.
  • Experience using time‑keeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
