Description
Plan, solicit, book and coordinate group room sales to meet/exceed revenue/profit goals.
Position is responsible for negotiating room rates, dates and space for large groups/accounts.
Additional InformationThis hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, TNB Hotels. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
EssentialFunctions
Education: A four year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
Experience: One to two full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
Skills and Abilities: Must possess communications skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and hotel guests. Advanced knowledge of sales/hospitality principles and practices. Ability to investigate and analyze current activities or information in the sales/marketing field and make logical conclusions and recommendations. Ability to make decisions based on established policies and procedures.
