About the Job
The Tucson Business Development Representative is responsible for growing the facility’s lines of service and levels of care as defined by management by developing and retaining referrals from professional referral sources across various account types. Represents the facility to the public, as well as hosting the public when visiting the facility. Employs creative approaches with well-established methods for growing reputation among professional referrals.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement business development programs in consultation with the Director of Business Development.
- Maintain a schedule of primary sources including business, industry, EAPs, managed care of clients, physicians/licensed practitioners, and allied health professionals.
- Document every contact in the appropriate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and maintain current account information, business development referral/admission records, and statistics, including preparation of reports and materials.
- Develop and maintain new account relationships and markets, targeting and creating new strategies for increasing business in highly competitive markets.
- Increase the number of referral sources within the facility such as physicians, social workers, and discharge planners.
- Develop strong relationships with key referral sources and maintain key business development accounts, responding to all opportunities.
- Provide customer support to designated number of targeted referral source contacts per week, as set forth in a quarterly marketing plan.
- Develop and conduct community workshops, seminars, and facility tours to educate clients, families, community, and other referral sources on programs, services and amenities, and identify potential referral sources.
- Represent the facility at civic and professional functions, communicating the mission in all outreach interactions.
- Act as a liaison between the facility, referral sources and the general public to further the goals and positive, professional image of the facility.
- Manage leads from referral sources and ensure efficient admissions process for clients, maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Admissions Department.
- Collaborate closely with facility discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physicians and management, and provide education staff to generate referral sources.
- Maintain current awareness of changes in the industry through self‑education, peer education and professional and community involvement.
- Attend scheduled department meetings to provide timely reports on month‑end reviews, client servicing schedules, customer sales forms and other reporting requirements.
- Generate face‑to‑face meetings and admissions activity per goal and document in CRM in a timely manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Behavioral Health, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Two or more years’ related experience in healthcare business development and marketing preferred.
- Good understanding of the local market and referral base.
- Organized and capable of multitasking with well‑developed relational skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, early mornings, and weekends.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, maintain automobile insurance coverage, and have access to an automobile where the facility requires.
Work LocationThis position is onsite and is not a remote position.
Supervisory RequirementsThis position is an Individual Contributor.
