Description

This job involves representing Finley Distributing and its suppliers at promotions, social media, and special events to create positive perceptions of the brands in the Tucson market.

To represent both Finley Distributing and our various suppliers at on‑premise promotions, off‑premise promotions, on social media, and at special events, and create positive perceptions of the brands in the Tucson market.

• On‑Premise Accounts
  • Promoting, selling and sampling beer in a restaurant/bar setting (e.g., Famous Sam’s)
    • Arrive 10–15 minutes early, dressed in the appropriate uniform.
    • Set up the promotional area, lay out giveaways, prepare the promotion.
    • Communicate with the store manager, confirm the special, and fulfill special requests.
    • Interact with consumers, play appropriate games, create a fun environment, encourage purchases, and provide product knowledge.
• Off‑Premise Accounts
  • Promoting, selling and sampling beer on a larger scale (e.g., Total Wine)
    • Arrive 10–15 minutes early, dressed in the appropriate uniform.
    • Set up the promotional area, lay out giveaways, prepare the promotion.
    • Communicate with the store manager, confirm product pricing, and fulfill special requests.
    • Interact with and draw in customers, play appropriate games, encourage purchases, and provide product knowledge.
• Product Knowledge
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Finley products to sell in the market
    • Know the main brands (Miller Lite, Coors Light, Blue Moon, Corona, Dos Equis, etc.).
    • Understand the brewing process and be able to explain it to consumers.
    • Know brewing location, alcohol content, calories, type of beer, etc.
    • Must be flexible and able to work nights and weekends, adapting to an ever‑changing schedule.
    • Must be available for mandatory holidays and high‑profile events (Super Bowl Sunday, Patrick’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, Halloween, UofA Home Football Games, Special Events, Golf Tournaments).
• Time Sheets
  • Assistants must track hours worked on a bi‑weekly basis and submit them to the Promotions Coordinator.
• Promotion Recaps
  • Submit a recap of each promotion to the Promotions Coordinator after each event, including details, sales figures, and photographs for social media usage.
• Promotional Kits
  • Coordinate pick‑up of promotional kits from Finley Distributing weekly.
  • Report any problems with kits (missing items, incorrect brands, etc.) promptly.
  • Communicate with colleagues to ensure the correct kit is brought to each event.
• Facebook
  • Participate in the Promotional Assistant Facebook page.
  • Post pictures from promotions and information about Finley products.
  • Create a fun, interactive environment for consumers, initiating interaction with Finley Distributing's social media.

Ensures compliance with all Finley Distributing company policies, practices, procedures, and controls applicable to the primary function.

  Experience:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent or 1–2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Work Environment:
  On Premise, Off Premise Locations, and Special Events.
• Travel:
  Travel is required. Must have reliable transportation.

• Must occasionally move up to 50 pounds.
• While performing job duties, the employee is regularly required to converse with consumers, clients, and other Finley Distributing employees, and to listen.
