Position: Retail Sales Associate - 2936

We are looking for a full‑time retail sales associate to join our team. The role offers a base hourly rate of $15.75 to $18.50, plus a commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

Position Summary

A Full‑Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store staff to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
  • Maintains the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
  • Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies.
  • Answers incoming calls per company standards.
  • Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
  • Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
  • Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
  • Successfully completes assigned training.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods of time (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, etc.).
  • Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
  • May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum age 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong desire to work with customers and be team‑oriented.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient in basic math calculations.
  • Preferably cash handling experience.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Must work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
