Are you an experienced Arizona resort sales professional who thrives on building relationships, uncovering new business opportunities, and creating winning partnerships? We're looking for a dynamic Sales Manager who understands the unique pace and seasonality of the Arizona hospitality market and knows how to position a resort as the destination of choice for corporate travelers, groups, and leisure guests.

In this role, you'll be a key driver of revenue growth by developing new business, expanding existing accounts, and cultivating strong partnerships throughout the Arizona business and tourism community. Your ability to understand market trends, negotiate strategic partnerships, and deliver exceptional client experiences will directly contribute to the continued success of our resort.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, negotiate, and secure new and repeat business from corporate, group, and volume accounts that align with the resort's revenue strategy.
  • Cultivate long‑term relationships with local, regional, and national accounts while actively prospecting for new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and present compelling corporate rate proposals and contracts that maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Respond to RFPs with creative, competitive solutions that deliver value for both the client and the resort.
  • Execute strategic sales plans that achieve or exceed revenue goals across transient, group, and negotiated business segments.
  • Conduct outside sales calls, networking events, property tours, and site inspections to showcase the resort experience.
  • Represent the resort at industry trade shows, association meetings, sales missions, and community events throughout Arizona and key feeder markets.
  • Partner closely with Revenue Management and Operations to ensure contracted business aligns with occupancy goals, business mix, and guest expectations.
  • Maintain detailed client activity, account plans, and sales pipelines within the CRM system.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities within Arizona's resort and hospitality landscape.
  • Build meaningful relationships with tourism organizations, chambers of commerce, CVBs, event planners, and community partners to strengthen the resort's market presence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What Makes You Successful
  • An exceptional relationship builder who earns trust and develops long‑term client partnerships.
  • A strategic sales professional who understands the nuances of the Arizona resort market, including seasonal demand patterns and destination travel.
  • Motivated by exceeding revenue goals and identifying new opportunities for growth.
  • Comfortable negotiating contracts while balancing profitability and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Organized, self‑directed, and skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A collaborative team player who works seamlessly across departments to deliver outstanding service from contract through arrival.
Preferred Experience
  • Two or more years of hotel or resort sales experience, with preference given to candidates from destination resorts or full‑service hotels.
  • Experience selling corporate, group, SMERF, leisure, or negotiated business within the Arizona hospitality market.
  • Established relationships with Arizona businesses, meeting planners, travel professionals, or industry organizations are highly valued.
  • Proven success in business development, account management, prospecting, and contract negotiations.
  • Experience with CRM platforms and hotel sales systems preferred.
Education

Associate's degree in Business, Hospitality, Sales & Marketing, or a related field preferred.

Equivalent combinations of education and hospitality sales experience will be considered.
