What You'll Do:
  • State Registrations:
    As directed, process state registrations for designated product portfolio, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulatory requirements
  • Renewals and New Submissions:
    Support renewal processes through timely and accurate submission of documentation and payments; prepare and submit new registrations as needed
  • Label Review:
    Participate in label content development and reviews to ensure correct label versions for assigned product portfolio are registered and requirements are met
  • State Registration Database:
    Maintain a comprehensive database of all state registrations, including renewal dates, submission deadlines, and other relevant information. Manage state electronic submission processes via individual state websites
  • Telus:
    Maintain accurate product information and registration statuses in Telus
  • State Inquiries:
    With guidance, respond to state inquiries regarding product registrations, label updates, or other regulatory matters
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Collaborate and coordinate with Regulatory Affairs, Product Development, Legal, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Sales, and Marketing to complete registration activities. Collect pertinent data in product and formulation launch team meetings and complete appropriate follow-up actions. Support product life cycle management by deactivating registrations and completing related tasks
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Monitor state-specific regulatory changes and work with the Crop Nutrition team to assess impacts on Nutrien products. Implement changes as directed to maintain compliant registration documentation and labeling
  • Relationship Building:
    Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with state regulatory authorities and serve as a credible point of contact for state registration matters
  • Industry Association:
    Maintain awareness of regulatory changes through participation in relevant industry associations (AAPFCO, TFI, etc.) and share applicable insights internally
  • Training and

    Education:

    Stay current on industry trends, attend relevant training sessions, and share knowledge with the team to foster regulatory expertise and a culture of compliance
  • Process Improvement:
    Continuously identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve workflows, making recommendations in a thoughtful manner
  • Safety:
    Model our core value of safety by actively contributing to a safe work environment
  • Other Duties as Needed:
    Perform additional regulatory or compliance responsibilities as assigned
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Product Stewardship or related field is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in US fertilizer/soil amendment registration
  • Solid understanding of US state-specific submission requirements with desire to learn more about complex, technical matters
  • Effective communication skills, in both written and verbal formats
  • Collaborative mindset and interpersonal effectiveness in working with colleagues across Regulatory specialties
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite, with proficiency in data entry and data tracking
  • Familiarity with Regulatory related software, portals, and databases
  • Willingness to learn other specialties within the Regulatory function, actively participating in cross-training efforts as appropriate
  • Initiative to take appropriate action while maintaining strong self-awareness of skills and knowledge, seeking out additional support when needed
  • Organized approach to completing work in alignment with priorities and deadlines
