Security - Special Access Program (SAP) Personnel Security
The Analyst, Security performs a wide variety of tasks as part of the Special Programs team within Security, including processing requests for personnel clearances, developing and administering security procedures, and reporting information to the customer. The selected candidate will update computer databases with vital security information, study and implement federal security regulations, coordinate with government agencies, and participate in security reviews to recommend corrective actions.
The role requires willingness to protect employee personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act and related regulations. U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Security Clearance are required as of day one. A valid driver’s license is required.
- Provide customer service to employees regarding personnel security questions and actions.
- Administer security procedures (NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07, ICD 705, JSIG) related to operating in a classified environment, including personnel processing, media control, marking and control of documents/materials, security education, visitor control, and destruction of classified materials.
- Support specialized procedures for the transmission of classified and/or proprietary material.
- Conduct and/or participate in internal reviews and government inspections.
- Investigate security infractions/violations and prepare reports specifying potential loss or compromise and the associated risk to program(s).
- Maintain personnel records and perform data entry.
- Work extended hours in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven office environment.
- A university degree or equivalent experience and less than two years of relevant experience.
- Experience with NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07, or ICD 705.
- Strong customer‑service background.
- Experience in data entry or database management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Degree major in Business Management, Security and/or Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or related field.
- Current SECRET/TOP SECRET security clearance with an investigation not older than six years.
- Experience in Personnel Security.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- At least four years of national‑security experience preferred, with administrative and office‑management background.
- Training with DCSA, CDSE, including Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
