Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Training and Exercise Analyst Requirements to support our client at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ. This position will serve as Space Component Field Command (C-FLDCOM) headquarters senior training and exercises analyst, applying Space Force and Joint training experience to manage a broad range of training and exercise duties related to the development of requirements, exercise design, and the formulation of C-FLDCOM inputs to support assigned operations, theater security cooperation, and COCOM commanders.
Provides expertise in planning, developing, implementing, and directing the annual preparation of the command training and exercise plans, execution of major theater exercises, and readiness briefings for United States Space Forces Southern (SPACEFOR-SOUTH) expanding operations to the Chief of Space Operations, United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), and the Secretary of the Air Force.
- Applying Space Force and joint training experience, analyzes, develops, and evaluates detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation of assigned major command training and exercise program(s).
- Assigned programs relate to the development of COCOM exercise objectives, Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) planning, and tactical-to-strategic level training scenarios.
- As the command project officer, analyzes and evaluates substantive joint/combined exercises, training effectiveness, and organizational readiness. Resolves day-to-day training resource and execution issues as they pertain to the integration of space capabilities into theater operations. Identifies and conducts special studies, analyzes and reviews training data as necessary to project future operational capability requirements.
- Analyzes training relationships under conditions of short and rapidly changing operational guidelines and deadlines, and projects and analyzes the potential effects of space training and education on theater partnership, readiness, and defense objectives.
- Promotes interchange of information on training requirements, capabilities, deficiencies, and technology applications in the area of space exercise simulation and modeling.
- Analyzes problems discovered in prior exercises or actual operations and advises higher levels of management on the feasibility of different training approaches which provide a basis for better training efficiency.
- Documents planning and exercise decisions in appropriate formats to meet Space Force, Joint Staff, and C-FLDCOM requirements. Identifies non-standard or emerging training requirements, assesses operational impact on assigned programs and theater operations, and develops scenario-based training solutions.
- Analyzes problems created by the integration of emerging space systems into legacy exercise frameworks and initiates corrective action.
- Relying on available training systems, databases, and historical after-action reports, searches a variety of sources to select the information appropriate to the task, taking care to verify the relevancy, adequacy, sustainability, attainability, accuracy, and completeness of the training objectives and exercise designs.
- Guidelines require considerable adaptation and/or interpretation for application to complex regional training issues, partner nation coordination, and space-domain integration.
- Coordinates with appropriate staff offices, USSOUTHCOM joint training directorate (J7), and Allies/partners to ensure that all major training objectives are covered by planning and exercise documentation.
- Actively participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques. Prepares detailed training schedules, Master Scenario Events Lists (MSEL), and planning timelines for assigned major exercises and/or participates with management in long-term operational training planning.
- Responsible for integrating training requirements into overarching command programs; e.g., Joint Mission Essential Task Lists (JMETL) and COCOM training plans.
