What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, government facility policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and assist with visitor screening and directional information in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs for patrol activity, incidents, access-related concerns, and other security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
