• Interprets drawings, sketches, plans; determines work procedures, tools, and equipment needed for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, and installs electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks; make terminations.
• Installs control and distribution apparatus and secures in place.
• Tests and commissions systems; checks circuit continuity to ensure safety and compatibility.
• Monitors functioning of installed equipment to identify hazards and necessary adjustments or replacements.
• Pulls wire through conduit; connects wiring to fixtures and equipment.
• Works with medium and low voltage systems.
• Disassembles and repairs defective electrical equipment or systems.
• Operates electrical and mechanical hand tools, power tools, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical tools.

• Pass pre-employment drug and criminal background screenings.
• Possess current State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License.
• Exert heavy physical effort; handle objects up to 25 pounds.
• Perform physical activities such as kneeling, stooping, crouching, climbing, and crawling.
• Rig and hoist materials correctly.
• Tolerate heights without fear.
• Maintain balance and work in various weather conditions.
• Work long, irregular hours, 50-70 hours per week.
• Maintain punctuality and meet productivity standards.
