As a Mechanic II, based in Tucson, AZ, you'll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services - uninterrupted. You'll have the opportunity to perform a variety of tasks in the preventive and corrective maintenance on wastewater treatment plants and related facilities equipment on an assigned shift. You'll contribute to the success of our program with efficient preventive maintenance and effective solutions to challenges that may arise in municipal facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on buildings, structures, grounds, machinery, and equipment
* Lubricate equipment and inspect for malfunctions
* Replace packing/mechanical seals in pumps and valves
* Replace bearings in motors, pumps, and other equipment
* Tune engines, adjust valve clearance, and clean/adjust regulators
* Examine equipment failures to identify root causes and prevent recurrence
* Install and set up new equipment
* Clean and paint interior and exterior equipment and buildings
* Clean out pipes and perform plumbing and pipe‑fitting tasks as needed
* Use gas and/or arc welding equipment to heat, cut, braze, or weld
* Perform painting duties in the painter's absence
* Assist with maintaining maintenance records
* Perform additional tasks as required
* Take action to ensure the safety, health, and well‑being of yourself and your team
Here's what you'll need
* Four years of experience as a mechanical technician
* Proficiency in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
* A valid driver's license with no major infractions
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
* Experience working with municipal utility client
* Forklift experience
* Safe work practices

The base salary range for this position is $52,000.00 to $56,160.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
