Maintenance Service Person – Retirement Community

Position OverviewOur retirement community is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Service Person to support daily facility operations and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for our residents. This role requires strong general handyman skills and the ability to handle a variety of maintenance tasks. HVAC certification is not required .

Key Responsibilities- Complete routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property
- Manage and complete work orders promptly
- Perform general handyman duties, including:
- Light plumbing (fixtures, leaks, drains)
- Basic electrical repairs (switches, outlets, lighting)
- Carpentry tasks (doors, cabinetry, trim)
- Painting and drywall patching
- Appliance troubleshooting
- Assist with maintaining common areas and outdoor spaces
- Support unit turnover preparation (repairs, touch-ups, minor fixes)
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols
- Provide courteous, respectful service to residents and staff
- Prior experience in general maintenance, facility services, or handyman work
- Strong troubleshooting abilities across basic trades
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
- Good communication and friendly customer service attitude
- Must be able to lift, bend, and perform physical duties
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but NOT required
- Ability to pass standard background requirements
- Reliable, dependable work ethic
- Positive attitude and willingness to help
- Respectful and patient when interacting with senior residents
- Good problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented mindset
- $18 per hour while in temp status

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
