Take direction from a skilled worker or foreman to assist crew in construction duties. Performs any combination of following tasks to receive, store, and distribute material, tools, equipment, and products within establishments.
Typical Duties- To work well with supervision.
- Furnish tools and materials for others in their crew.
- Work with various hand tools.
- Operate limited types of equipment.
- Thorough knowledge of roles and responsibilities of the craft being supported.
- Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
- Perform all other job related duties as requested by supervision.
Must have over three (3) years of maintenance/turnaround/construction/ or mechanical experience and knowledge of basic hand tools. Must be able to pass Craft Helper proficiency testing at or above 70%. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screen and if hired, will be subject to random drug & alcohol testing during the course of employment. Must passa pre-employment criminal background check.
Physical Requirements- Stand or walk for long periods
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
- Lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds
- Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects and carry tools and equipment
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, and specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
