Pest Technician

Responsibilities

• Identify customer’s termite problems and use knowledge of termite behaviors to determine remedial steps
• Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
• Apply anti‑termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures, and label instructions
• Communicate to customers critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity, discuss procedures and any supplemental structural modifications
• Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
• Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
• Complete production forms documenting services provided
• Interact with customers and explain services provided
• Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp, and dusty locations
• Prepare the job site for treatment and enter/exit structures and crawl spaces
• Climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders, including working 20 feet up on a ladder and in small confined spaces
• Work on roofs and high areas as required
• Perform general labor tasks such as carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic work (experience is a plus)
• Move frequently, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA‑compliant respirator, and work in confined spaces and narrow aisles

• Clean, shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal the face)
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided)
• At least 1 year of customer service experience; experience in termite control is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Flexibility with working hours, Monday‑Friday and Saturdays as needed
• Licenses or certificates required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by employer)
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals) and ability to follow instructions for mixing products on labels
