Lead Maintenance Tech

Responsibilities

Lead Maintenance Technician responsible for ensuring the facility is in excellent and safe condition at all times, training staff, overseeing upkeep and repair operations, ensuring reliability and detail orientation, and providing knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry and plumbing. The position also involves assisting in scheduling and serving as the go‑to person for the department.

Key responsibilities include:

• Inspecting buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Ensuring all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Monitoring, testing, inspecting, and performing other assigned tasks in support of utility management.
• Preparing weekly maintenance schedules.
• Overseeing and training maintenance staff.
• Coordinating repairs, overseeing tradesmen for installations, repairs, and maintenance.

• Education:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of three (3) years of experience required.
• Availability:
  Must be available for nights and weekends for occasional on‑call duties.
• Technical knowledge:
  Basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, and painting.

• Must be tested for tuberculosis with a PPD skin test or chest X‑ray upon hire; PPD skin test required annually or chest X‑ray every four years thereafter.
• Must obtain and maintain a Class 1 Arizona fingerprint clearance.
