Locksmith Technician

Locksmith Position

Salary: $19.82 per hour - commensurate with experience Terms/Benefits: month position, 8 hours per day Major medical, hospitalization, dental, income protection, and term life

A high school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 2 years experience within the structured environment of a service industry. Experience in the installation and keying of ASSA locking mechanisms. Must possess a valid Arizona driver's license.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Knowledge and skills in locksmithing. Knowledge of procurement methods. Ability to work effectively with a minimum of supervision. Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents and community members. Knowledge of applicable Federal and State laws, district procedures and Board policies.

Ability to handle confrontation and conflict without an emotional response. Skills in time management.

Performs preventive maintenance tasks and various maintenance duties on locks, high security locking systems (ASSA), manual and hydraulic door closers.
