• Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Diagnoses problems, tests and makes adjustments, replaces or repairs parts and equipment such as industrial saws, overhead cranes, welders, paint and wash equipment, CNC mills, various hand, power and pneumatic tools, drill press, and loading docks.
• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Monitors, maintains and documents all preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Performs emergency fixes and repairs as needed.
• Is open‑minded and willing to learn from experienced technicians.

Average starting pay $80,000

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• One year industrial maintenance experience including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Basic knowledge of machining, welding, and equipment fabrication skills.
• Experience operating hand tools, power tools and pneumatic tools, general fabrication tools, and various measuring devices including tape measures, calipers and ohm meters.
• Ability to read and interpret reports, work instructions, schematics and blueprints.
• Must be self‑driven with the ability to work with little to no supervision.
• Ability to stand, squat, kneel, and climb stairs and/or ladders occasionally.

• AC/DC Drive experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
• Industrial Maintenance Experience
