CNC Maintenance Technician III

Purpose and ScopeThis position provides basic support and preventative maintenance on production equipment. This role will be expected to collaborate with the Maintenance and Production teams to exceed organizational goals.
Roles And Responsibilities- Ensure safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability.
- Performs advanced level PMs on equipment.
- Execute projects assigned on equipment improvements, rebuilds, or troubleshooting.
- Following manufacturer’s instructions, manuals, and diagrams, diagnose and troubleshoot advanced equipment problems.
- Assist other Maintenance Techs on advanced PM’s and equipment troubleshooting.
- Track maintenance activities in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Ensure proper spare parts needed for PM’s are maintained, on hand, and/or available at time of PM.
- Follows manufacturer’s instructions, manuals, and diagrams to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment problems.
- Review equipment failures with other Technicians, Engineers, and/or Manager annually to determine if content and frequency of PM’s need modified.
- Performs duties with minimal supervision.
- 7+ years of experience performing PM’s and Maintenance on mechanical systems.
- Intermediate level experience with CNC equipment.
- Intermediate level experience working with computers and MS Products.
- Working with suppliers to fix equipment and order required parts.
- Experience managing spare parts inventory.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to read and write English.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects. The employee is required to push/pull and reach above shoulder level. The employee must be able to carry/lift up to 40 pounds and be able to rotate item being handled.
- Work on feet for entire shift.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Ensures all maintenance actions are accomplished in a safe and timely manner.
- 2+ years of CNC equipment operation – Mills, Lathes, Hones.
- 2-year technical degree or trade certification.
- 5+ years of experience performing PM’s and troubleshooting CNC equipment issues.
- Forklift certification.
