Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Chiller Service Technician role based in Arizona, United States. The Chiller Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and industrial chiller systems, including performing routine preventive maintenance, startup, and shutdown procedures. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, replacing or adjusting components, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.

The role involves reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics, documenting service activities, and communicating findings and recommended solutions to supervisors and clients. The technician will collaborate closely with other field personnel, follow company safety protocols, and maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in good working order.

Qualifications
  • Strong technical skills in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial chiller and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control schematics, as well as technical manuals and service documentation.
  • Solid understanding of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and relevant environmental regulations related to refrigerants and mechanical systems.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills to explain technical issues, document work clearly, and collaborate with team members and clients.
  • Proficiency in using test instruments, hand tools, and power tools commonly required for chiller service work.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites within Arizona as needed.
  • Relevant technical training or certification in HVAC/R, mechanical systems, or a related field; journeyperson-level experience or equivalent is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting moderate weights, working in varying environmental conditions, and standing or walking for extended periods.
