Painter / Facilities Maintenance

Help Keep Tanque Verde Looking Its Best

Tanque Verde Flea Market is seeking an experienced, dependable, and detail-oriented Painter / Facilities Maintenance full-time team member to join our team.

This hands-on position is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys seeing the results of their work. You will help maintain and improve buildings, food stands, seller spaces, offices, equipment, and other areas throughout the market through professional painting, minor repairs, and general property upkeep.

What You'll Do
  • Paint and maintain buildings, food stands, seller spaces, offices, warehouses, fencing, carts, wagons, rides, and other market areas.
  • Prepare drywall, wood, metal, and other surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and priming.
  • Fill cracks, holes, joints, and surface imperfections using appropriate materials.
  • Protect floors, fixtures, equipment, landscaping, and surrounding areas before beginning work.
  • Mix and match paints, stains, colors, textures, and finishes.
  • Apply coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Complete touch-ups and specialty finishes as needed.
  • Safely use ladders, scaffolding, hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment.
  • Inspect completed work and make corrections to ensure a professional finish.
  • Clean, maintain, and properly store tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Assist with minor repairs, property improvements, and general maintenance projects.
  • Coordinate projects and priorities with supervisors and other departments.
  • Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • At least four years of professional painting or closely related experience.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation, color matching, paint application, and finishing techniques.
  • Experience using painting equipment, hand tools, power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and spray equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Dependable attendance and the ability to complete projects within established timelines.
  • Effective problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and apply constructive feedback.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, climb, crouch, kneel, reach overhead, push, and pull.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry tools and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work safely at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
