Pay Range: $40-55/hour
Manpower is partnering with a leading commercial mechanical services organization to hire a Service Technician IV in Tucson, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level HVAC professional with strong commercial service experience and advanced troubleshooting capabilities across large-scale HVAC systems, chillers, controls, and airside equipment.
The ideal candidate is a self-directed technician who can diagnose complex issues, deliver exceptional customer service, and serve as a technical resource for other technicians in the field.
What is the Job:- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
- Service air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, rooftop units, VRF/VRV systems, water source heat pumps, AHUs, CRAC units, pumps, and piping systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and service agreement work.
- Read and interpret complex mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Coordinate project activities and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Communicate system status, findings, and recommendations with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical support, training, and guidance to service technicians.
- Maintain service vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service and communication.
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- EPA Certification.
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and service procedures.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Technical degree in HVAC, Mechanical Systems, or a related field.
- Experience with Siemens, Johnson Controls, Distech, or similar controls platforms.
- Previous experience mentoring or leading technicians.
- Split systems up to 120 tons
- VRF/VRV heat pump and heat recovery systems
- Rooftop units up to 150+ tons
- Water source heat pumps
- Self-contained systems and CRAC units
- Air-cooled chillers
- Water-cooled chillers
- Scroll, reciprocating, screw, and magnetic-bearing chillers
- Variable speed drive (VFD) applications
- Centrifugal chiller theory
- Air handling units (AHUs)
- VAV and fan-powered boxes
- Control valve operation
- VFD applications
- Pump configurations and components
- Chilled water systems
- Flow control devices
- Strainers and backflow devices
