Customer Service Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform major equipment installation, maintenance, overhauls, and inspections of industrial mechanical and rotating systems including compressors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, cryogenic tanks, and equipment.
• Be on call 24/7 and able to respond within 2 hours at any time for a major customer in South Tucson.
• Assist in planning and cost estimation for mechanical work and identify and resolve chronic mechanical asset concerns.
• Conduct periodic inspection and maintenance of plant equipment and support the root cause analysis program for major failures.
• Make technical decisions independently and elevate technical concerns when necessary to protect safety and equipment integrity.
• Perform office and field work, ensuring accessibility during off hours and safely accessing elevated equipment using ladders, scaffolding, man lifts, and crane baskets.
• Contribute to a disciplined, safety‑focused environment by executing work practices that reinforce compliance and operational excellence.

• Minimum of five years’ experience maintaining mechanical and rotating systems in an industrial manufacturing environment; pump experience preferred.
• Self‑starter and motivator with minimal supervision.
• Proven experience in installation, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of compressors, turbines, blowers, and heat exchangers.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methods for industrial mechanical and rotating equipment.
• Skilled in using precision measuring devices and performing precision alignment on multi‑train equipment with accuracy and care.
• Excellent communication and team interaction skills; able to work independently and effectively lead or participate in teams.
• Strong documentation and record‑keeping capabilities; proficiency in computers, standard software packages, and computerized maintenance management system.
