• Examine damaged vehicles and efficiently plan the repair process
• Work and communicate with others on vehicle repair status
• Perform quality repairs while maintaining on-time status
• Decide whether to repair or replace components based on safety, cost, and cycle time
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window operating equipment, and trim to access vehicles and fenders
• Participate in required safety meetings
• File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces using power and hand tools
• Direct an apprentice when needed and explain procedures
- Ability to use frame machine
- Certification in body repair preferred
- Knowledge of vehicle repair process by manufacturer
- I-CAR welding certified
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting measuring data
- Ability to supervise repair personnel
- Must be able to pass thorough background check
