CWI and UT Shear Wave Level II Inspector

We are seeking an experienced AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and and UT Shear Wave Level II Inspector to perform structural steel inspection services on commercial, industrial, and public works construction projects throughout Arizona and Utah. The successful candidate will conduct shop and field inspections of structural steel welding, bolting, and nondestructive testing activities while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, specifications, and project requirements.

• Perform shop and field inspections of structural steel welding and bolting activities.
• Verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, AWS standards, and applicable building codes.
• Review welding procedures, welder qualifications, and inspection requirements.
• Perform and document welding inspections in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Coordinate and review nondestructive testing (NDT) activities and results.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and code requirements.
• Prepare accurate daily reports, inspection documentation, and project records.
• Maintain complete and organized project files, including reports, field notes, correspondence, RFIs, and supporting documentation.
• Communicate inspection findings and project updates to project managers, contractors, engineers, and client representatives.
• Identify and document non-conforming work and verify corrective actions when required.
• Travel to project sites as needed to support inspection activities throughout the region.
