Therapeutic Specialist; Foster Care

Job Summary

Devereux-Arizona’s Therapeutic Foster Care Program (TFC) serves children and adults with significant behavioral and emotional needs. Individuals are referred to Devereux via Arizona behavioral health networks and several tribal entities. Therapeutic foster parents are extensively trained to address each individual's intense needs and work with them toward their treatment goals.

• Supervise and support therapeutic home providers in maintaining and delivering high‑quality behavioral health services to TFC individuals across a caseload of 10 individuals placed in 5‑7 licensed therapeutic foster homes.
• Conduct assessments and facilitate development, review, and implementation of service/treatment plans.
• Develop, support, and monitor behavioral interventions.
• Perform crisis intervention, stabilization, and coordinate services through consultation and support.

• High School Diploma or GED required;
  Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
• Four (4) years related experience with a high school diploma/GED OR one (1) year experience with a Bachelor’s degree.

• Attend two weeks of New Hire Orientation (paid).
• Drug test within 24 hours of offer with negative results.
• Must be 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards).
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License, pass DMV 36‑month history check, and reliable vehicle.
• Pre‑employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment (if applicable).
• Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions.

Pay Range: $20/hr – $22/hr

Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Work in‑office, home, community settings, and throughout Devereux Arizona premises. Ability to commute throughout Pima County using your own vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).
