Recovery Aide

Job Title

Assists clients and families in the behavioral health system to enhance their recovery and promote wellness. Assists Recovery Coaches in providing rehabilitation and support services.

High school diploma or GED

In order to provide peer support services, individuals must have personal recovery experience and be certified as a recovery support specialist through one of the recognized training agencies.

Individuals must be 21 years of age or older.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work with multi-disciplinary adult recovery teams.
• Knowledge of the Pima County behavioral health system.
• Ability to engage clients in treatment plan.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Uses good judgment as it relates to peer/family support.
• Knowledge of confidentiality, ethics, and boundary issues related to peer/family support.

Other Potential Requirements:

• Reliable transportation, Valid AZ driver's license, automobile insurance, and good driving record.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
• Proof of physical exam and annual proof of TB skin Test.
• Fingerprint Clearance - If working with children (clients under 18) or work in or on premises where children's services are rendered.
