Social Worker - *POOL* (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR

Summary

The Social Worker assists a Licensed Clinical or other Social Worker with their daily tasks to include providing material supportive services to students and their families in order to achieve maximum functioning and promote student achievement. As needed other duties may include but not limited to student assessments, maintenance of student case files, participation in multidisciplinary or IEP team meetings and weekly supervisory sessions.

Serves as an integral part of a problem‑solving team at the building level.

All Social Worker positions require a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited program, the ability to support students with behavioral needs, reliable transportation, teamwork skills, time management, and flexible hours. Advance degrees and licensing provide higher salary ranges.

Salary:
Min $42,618.50 – Max $49,478.76

• Current License as Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health
• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school of social work
• Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) Provider
• Dependable mode of transportation
• Availability to work flexible hours as needed

• FBI fingerprint background check
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
• Valid Driver’s license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire)
• MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB‑R‑1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services

• Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department

• Bilingual – Spanish/English
• Previous experience in a school setting
• Experience working with diverse or underprivileged populations
• Master’s degree in Social Work

Varies. Typical Teacher FTE 1.0, 7.5 hours per day.

WORK CALENDAR: 9.5 months – 207 days (212 days for new to district teachers)
