Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Tucson, AZ

Location:

Tucson, AZ (Onsite). Security clearance:
Active, transferable Secret U.S. government‑issued clearance required before start date.

• Architect, design, implement, test, and debug integrated embedded real‑time software within heterogeneous systems composed of firmware and hardware.
• Collaborate with a cross‑discipline team to refine product concepts, implementation, testability, and measurable quality.
• Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
• Contribute to proposals and participate in preliminary and critical design reviews.
• Obtain program access as required.

• Work across product lines in collaboration with other teams.

• Degree in STEM and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in at least two of the following:
  Embedded C++ Software, Embedded Software Security, Software Architecture Design and Implementation.
• Proficiency with embedded Real‑Time Operating Systems (e.g., Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, Linux).
• Experience developing complex systems that integrate hardware, firmware, and software.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. security clearance required before start date.

• Familiarity with reading electrical schematics and relating them to software function.
• Experience with firmware source such as VHDL or Verilog.
• Knowledge of assembly language for at least one processor/controller family.
• Experience using laboratory instruments such as power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Experience developing device drivers for bare‑metal and/or OS applications.

Salary range: US $86,800 – US $165,200, depending on experience, role, and responsibilities.
