Position:
Software/Test Equipment Development Engineer – Tucson, AZ
Role:
Onsite
- Guide multidisciplinary teams in the development of test equipment.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a production environment.
- Contribute to cost and schedule management planning.
- Communicate with senior management on project status.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot software and test equipment issues.
- Develop requirements for software products.
- Document and communicate program management information.
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and ten (10) years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and seven (7) years of experience.
- Minimum ten (10) years developing and integrating software applications using C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic.
- Minimum ten (10) years of professional engineering experience with development environments, debugging tools, and software integrity.
- Experience with Windows OS, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Microsoft Azure Dev Ops Server.
- Familiarity with laboratory test instrumentation, electronics, and software (e.g., NI VISA, NI Measurement and Automation Explorer, NI Switch Executive).
- Minimum two (2) years of experience managing test equipment on DoD‑compliant information systems, leading program or project teams.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware optimization.
- Experience developing software drivers for hardware interfaces.
- Understanding of common hardware interfaces and data protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, RS‑422).
- Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) for software architecture and design (e.g., IBM Rhapsody, Cameo System Modeler).
- Experience with Software Development Life Cycle practices such as Agile.
- Knowledge of Software Configuration Management principles.
- Competitive salary range: 132,400
USD – 251,600
